Hi my grandparents lived in Gloe pit row. Brin (also known as Fred) and Olwyn (née Webber) Meyrick siblings Ron and Susan. They moved to Ramsgate before the war. Doll williams was Olwyns sister. My dad remembers the toilets !
My family lived in glo pit row. My grandad David Williams or Di and my Nan Dorris or Doll Williams nee Webber and there kids Gwen, Doreen and my Dad Ken Williams. My grandad work down the pit.

My great grandfather Michael Lee, his 2 sons William and John and daughter Margaret also lived in 8 Globe Pit Row as shown in the 1891 census. There is no wife shown on the census. Margaret was born in about 1881. Michael and William were born in Tredegar and John and Margaret born in Blaina. I’m trying to find out more!
